My Pure·First Impression – TOxxxIC PV Preview

I’ve been longing for something new music-wise from Hirano Aya (Aya-chan) since the release of her album FRAGMENTS last year and I’m getting my wish next week with the release of her newest single TOxxxIC. And now the preview PV for TOxxxIC has been uploaded on Universal Music Japan’s YouTube channel.

I honestly can’t be unbiased about Hirano Aya, so it should come as no surprise that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything about the PV for TOxxxIC that I’ve seen so far. The song itself has a nice flow to it, without ever feeling too chaotic or fast-paced. Definitely a song I could be repeat for awhile without getting sick of it too quickly. As for the PV, I love the costume and while I’ll always love Aya-chan best with black hair, Aya-chan’s light colored hair meshes well with the shadowy dark and blue background. And I’m thrilled that this TOxxxIC PV gets to show off Aya-chan dancing.

Oh, and did I mention how stunningly beautiful and sexy Aya-chan looks in the PV? Because yeah… she totally does.

And it’s probably just me, but I got Itano Tomomi (Tomochin) Dear J vibes with the costumes and the background dancers, which is certainly fine for me.

This is Aya-chan’s 1st single since 2010’s Hysteric Barbie and personally I’m liking the direction Aya-chan’s music career seems to be going. I really hoping this single does well. Hirano Aya’s newest single TOxxxIC releases on February 20th.

My Pure·Heavy Rotation – Hirano Aya’s Stargaze Love

My favorite seiyuu has been and still is Hirano Aya (Aya-chan). I have loved her since I started watching anime and started getting interested into seiyuu. She’s been through her trials and tribulations, but I’ve never wavered in my support as a fan of hers. So I’m really happy that her music career is getting a reboot, with the May 23rd release of her album FRAGMENTS. I bought it myself and my favorite song on the album so far is titled Stargaze Love. I’ve been playing the song quite a lot lately and to see her perform the song live had me nostalgic through all the good times of Hirano Aya’s career so far. Love the song.

So yeah, so glad that Aya-chan’s back.

My Pure·Delight – 9 Members Chosen to Voice Act in AKB Anime

The 9 members who will voice act in the AKB anime, AKB0048, have been decided. The nine members include the following.

AKB48: Ishida Haruka, Iwata Karen, Sato Amina, Sato Sumire, Nakaya Sayaka, Watanabe Mayu
SKE48: Hata Sawako, Yagami Kumi

Along with them, 4 other names were mentioned, possibly to voice background characters. They were Takeuchi Miyu (AKB), Murashige Anna (HKT), Kinoshita Momoka (NMB), and Furukawa Airi (SKE).

I thought any 9 members would be good, but Hata Sawako (Shawako) making it definitely put a smile on my face. So happy. Can’t wait to watch this anime.

EDIT: The website has been updated with info on the characters and story and ANN has a translation on the plot.

My Pure·Happiness – Aya-chan Appears on Rolling Stone Cover in Japan

Not much to say here. Hirano Aya (Aya-chan) appeared on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine in Japan. On the cover, it says “Hirano Aya REBORN”. After all the rumors and controversies Aya-chan has been linked to recently, I’m really hoping we will see the rise (again) of Aya-chan going forward. It looks as though Aya-chan has been cast in more anime series and I’m happy that Aya-chan will have more of a presence in 2012. I’ve missed her.

My Pure·Intrigue – AKB48 Anime Announced?

So it looks as though AKB48 will be receiving their very first anime series. This is no real information about the story or airing date of the series so far. So far, the only information given is that Kawamori Shoji will be director and Ootsuki Toshimichi will be producer of the original-story AKB48 anime series. Also, the girls will compete for the voice acting roles and 9 will be chosen to perform the opening theme of the anime series.

Being an anime and AKB48 fan, I have to wonder how well the two will come together. And what will this anime series be like? Will this be a fighting anime in which the ending is basically an animated version of the Flying Get PV? Will this be a romance anime with elements from the AKB 1/48 PSP video games?

Of course, I’m hoping Minegishi Minami (Miichan), Hata Sawako (Shawako), and more of my favorites are involved with the series. I would love to see Shawako voice act in the anime. Here’s to hoping.

EDIT: Looks like more info has been released. The story will involve nine idol candidates who try to become legendary idols.

My Pure·Happiness – Aya-chan Performing Again

^ Above pic from Aya-chan’s blog.

Hirano Aya (Aya-chan) performed live for the first time in almost a year. The live was for the launch of her new fan club and for 24th birthday, which she celebrated yesterday. She announced the name of her fan club would be #AYATOMO and reassured she would be remaining a seiyuu.
